About GeoAakarshan
Derived from the Hindi word 'Aakarshan,' meaning attraction, and the Greek word 'Geo,' meaning Earth, GeoAakarshan symbolizes the pull towards the knowledge of our planet. As students of Department of Geophysics, Banaras Hindu University, we are thrilled to present the fourth edition of our national-level festival, GeoAakarshan 2024, organized by the Banaras Hindu University Geophysical , BHU, in collaboration with SEG, SPG, AEG and IGU Student Chapters.Â
*GeoAakarshan* is a celebration of Earth Science, aiming to bring this fascinating field to the forefront and inspire the youth to pursue careers in it. Beyond raising awareness, it serves as a platform for students to showcase their talents through various competitions and challenges. This festival bridges the gap between industry and academia, fostering collaboration through talks and lectures from renowned experts. Held from September 3rd to 5th, 2024, in both online and offline modes, GeoAakarshan offers a unique opportunity for knowledge-sharing, skill development, and innovation, ensuring a bright future for Earth Science.

Winners and runners-up of the offline events at GeoAakarshan 2024 will be honored with trophies and certificates, recognizing their exceptional achievements. All participants will also receive certificates of participation, celebrating their involvement and contribution to this exciting event. As for online events, winning and participation e-certificates will be given.
